Inspired by the death and decay of coral reefs from climate change and the impact of human industries on water habitats. Made from wire, plaster, and paint. I was intrigued by the idea of mimicking the organic shapes of nature to a daily life object. A project exploring the use of the organic patterns and shapes of coral reefs and materialising biology. I decided to choose the word ?modular? to make my work. When corals die they become bleached from their vibrant colours. Many people will only ever see them white unless something is done about this repetitive cycle of carelessness for our surroundings. Way overhead there?s this tiny, tiny circle of light like a winter moon. You die there in this place, little by little, all by yourself. What am I doing in this endless winter? Perhaps I have become the past.
