Hi, I'm Paridhi, and this project explores the transition between blur and clarity through an interactive light sculpture. The form is inspired by a personal memory of getting glasses for the first time, that moment when the world shifts from soft and diffused to sharply defined. The petals are built with wire outlines so they can be physically adjusted, allowing users to peel layers of diffusion and control how the light behaves. Instead of using motors, the interaction stays slow and tactile; the act of touching and opening mirrors the bodily gesture of adjusting vision. The rotating base introduces a temporal element. As the piece turns, different layers overlap and separate, creating a before-and-after experience of light from atmospheric glow to structural clarity. My intention was to make perception something you can physically navigate, not just visually observe.
