The Lattice Lamp is a contemporary study of the traditional craft of stained glass. Historically embedded within architecture, stained glass has existed primarily as a stationary art form. Inspired by the way light interacts with stained glass windows, the Lattice Lamp reimagines this tradition through portability and movement, allowing stained glass to inhabit new environments and contexts. This project explores the intersection of art, craft, and functionality, creating a lamp whose visual presence is as compelling when unlit as it is illuminated. Through a playful exploration of new construction methods, the design seeks to breathe new life into a historic craft while honoring its material and visual language.
