Re-Lit is an exploratory lighting installation created from discarded and obsolete materials, reassembled into a new luminous form. Inspired by the hidden beauty of what is typically overlooked or thrown away, the piece investigates how waste can be transformed through light, composition, and reuse into something experiential, functional, and emotionally resonant. Rather than treating disposal as an end point, the project reframes waste as a resource with latent visual and material value. Through aggregation, layering, and illumination, familiar remnants are given a renewed presence one that blurs the boundary between art object and light fixture. The installation celebrates adaptive reuse not only as an environmental strategy, but also as a design attitude: that old things, when reimagined, can produce new meaning, new atmosphere, and new life.
