Rebirth emphasizes the beauty of full circle moments in life, but refers to the biggest question that has still yet been left unresolved: What came first - the egg or the chicken? An egg tends to hold many symbolic meanings varying from religion to cultures to mythological beliefs, but they all circle back to one central theme: creation of anew. Rebirth is focused on the creation of anew, specifically through the usage of compost by challenging the views of typical compostable materials from transforming waste to upcycled, functional products. By reimagining the way we view compost, I wanted to create a tribute in celebration of the importance for our resources through display and give the materials, itself, a "new life". Rebirth serves as a commendation piece that lights up your space through its ambient, warm, calming, and diffused soft lights by emitting a breathing, soft-glow, amber illumination to brighten your space and leave a reformed living soul with you.
