Taking inspiration from environments with warm and muted lighting, I aimed to create a lamp that illuminates gentle yellow light, setting the room in a comforting and soothing atmosphere perfect for an in-home movie night. Designed for users who enjoy cozy and relaxing environments, the lighting aims to create such comfort by setting an ideal mood for entertainment. Intended for indoor settings such as the living rooms and bedrooms, it is meant to function as background lighting rather than a primary light source. To make the lighting interesting, a playful appearance is added so the lamp feels more than just a standard lighting object. The project explores the combination of fun forms and warm light to produce a piece that feels balanced and visually calming, that reflects the shared and personal memory of watching movies at home in a soothing atmosphere.
