Gam, the Korean word for persimmon, comes from the centuries-old practice of hanging the fruit on strings to dry, extending its life far beyond what nature intended. This lamp reimagines that tradition through adaptive reuse: persimmon leather, salvaged from food waste, is pieced into a patchwork inspired by bojagi, the traditional Korean textile art of assembling fabric scraps into something whole and beautiful.
