Exuviae is a sculptural lighting experience that captures the bittersweet stillness following metamorphosis. Inspired by the biological "exuviae"-the discarded exoskeleton left behind after eclosion-this piece explores the complex intersection of postpartum loss and the quiet satisfaction of a successful journey. The design features a rigid, metal "skeleton" that once housed and protected a developing life, now draped in ethereal liquid organza. As light diffuses from the core, it illuminates the void where growth occurred, casting a ghostly, translucent glow that mimics a lingering life force. It is a tribute to the vessel that remains: a beautiful, hanging vestige of a butterfly that has already spread its wings.
