Our immersive experience utilizes strategic lighting to evoke discomfort and prompt introspection. Through meticulously crafted cut-out frames in line with the mirrors, participants are fully immersed, becoming cautious of their framed selves before sharing on social media. This interplay between mirrors and cut-outs symbolizes the connection between external stimuli and internal reflections, fostering acute awareness and inviting contemplative exploration of one's essence. The exhibit's contrasting front and back sides depict the dichotomy inherent in social media reality. Groothuizen's insights reinforce the relationship between virtuality and reality; the exhibit aims to redefine virtual experiences within immersive environments, with a focus on proximal light. These dualistic perceptions emphasize sensory immersion, aiming to offer a transformative space for re-evaluation and deeper engagement with individual identity.
