Three metallic rings of varying diameters and proximities to the viewer are used to represent the different “circles” of people we have formed throughout our lives, while also showcasing the fact that there might be some form of intermingling between the three. The largest one with spaced out wires and a combination of large and small spirals indicate the acquaintances we meet, hence the farthest from the viewer. The middle circle represents the friends that we meet through the course of life. Finally, the smallest and the fullest, present the closeness we have with our family, partners and friends who stick around for a lifetime. Additionally, each colour: Green, Blue and Red are used to suggest the possible feelings associated with these “circles”. Green being mutual respect for one another, Blue for loyalty and support, lastly, Red for love and adoration. The mixing of the colours proposes the idea that such feelings associated with each “circle” can be depicted in one another, encouraging viewers to reflect upon the relationships they have maintained and created over time. Thus, inviting them to interact with the lights in their own way!
