This light work demonstrates that people can create a better society through the connections and interactions on social media. Each different-size dowel represents the unique characteristics of an individual. The joints between dowels convey light to other dowels, representing communications and connections we make on the internet. Through the digital age of the internet, people communicate with each other from all over the world. We are able to sympathize with a group of people that we have never met and support each other through the protest, fundraising, and sending supportive messages on social media.
