The Horse in Motion: Revisited is a reexamination of early stop motion picture technology from the late 19th century, reimagined in a modern context. Eadweard Muybridge's 1878 animation, "The Horse in Motion," pioneered video technology. Using an LED panel and video controller, sixteen frames of the original motion picture have been turned into a highly digital, pixelated form. The electronics are housed within repurposed materials (road case, MDF, metal edging) with the rear exposed for viewing and understanding of how modern technology repurposes and recreates old concepts indefinitely.
