Growing up near the coast, fishing nets were a familiar part of everyday life. At sunset, fishermen slowly lift their nets from the sea, and for a brief moment the fading sunlight seems to linger within the woven ropes before slipping away through the gaps. This lamp captures that fleeting moment. A warm orange light at the center evokes the glow of the setting sun reflecting on the water. Surrounding it, a rope structure inspired by traditional fishing nets opens at the top and gathers toward the base, echoing the gesture of a net being pulled together after a catch. While fishing nets are designed to capture something tangible-fish-in this design the net appears to capture light instead. Yet light can never truly be contained; it escapes through the woven structure, casting soft patterns across the surrounding surface. By transforming the familiar form of a fishing net into a lighting structure, the project reinterprets a traditional object to create a new atmospheric lighting experience.
